Sandra Sagehorn-Elliott is the President and CEO of Vantage West Credit Union. Based in Tucson, AZ the credit union has more than 200,000 members, $3.2B in assets, and 18 locations. Vantage West is proud to serve all Arizonans but places particular focus on Aspiring and Middle-Market families. The credit union helps its members thrive with personalized service, financial education, and unique products. 

 

Sandra has more than twenty-nine years of experience in financial services. Prior to joining Vantage West, she served as EVP/Chief Operating Officer at a Massachusetts credit union. During her 5-year tenure, Sandra was responsible for lending and operations, created a comprehensive leadership development program, and championed the creation of a ground-breaking member financial wellness initiative. 

 

Prior to that, Sandra was SVP/Chief Operating Officer at a Colorado credit union where, over her fourteen years at the organization, she oversaw customer relationship management, marketing, project management, retail, and product management. She also played a key role in building the organization’s innovative S3 Credit Union Service Organization 

 

Sandra was named one of the Most Influential Women in Arizona by AZ Business Magazine in 2021 and in 2022 BizTucson placed her on their list of Women Leading the Region. Sandra holds a bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and has completed Callahan Executive Education/Harvard Business School programs on both Sustainable Business Strategy and Disruptive Strategy. She has also earned the Cardwell Leadership Institute’s Advanced CEO Leadership Certification and participates in Filene’s i3 business innovation program. 

 

Sandra serves on GoWest’s Arizona Government Affairs Committee and Defense Fund Oversight Sub-Committee as well as the Board of Origence, the nation's largest indirect auto lending network for credit unions. Locally, she serves on the Southern Arizona Leadership Council.
